Low EC Cocopeat Block

SABOOT™ Low EC Cocopeat Block is a washed cocopeat substrate made from Indonesian coconut husks and processed under controlled conditions to reduce excess salts while retaining its quality. As a low EC cocopeat supplier in Indonesia, Arunika Natura offers it as a reliable growing medium for greenhouse cultivation, hydroponics, nurseries, and commercial farming.

Engineered for optimal water retention and aeration, our Low EC Cocopeat Block promotes strong root development with efficient nutrient management throughout the growing season. Once hydrated, the compressed block expands into a clean, uniform, and easy-to-use cocopeat growing medium suitable for a wide range of crops.

How to Use SABOOT™ Low EC Cocopeat Blocks

  1. Place the block in a clean tray or container large enough for it to expand.
  2. Add clean water gradually until the block is fully hydrated.
  3. Break up the expanded cocopeat by hand or with a simple tool until it is loose and even.
  4. Test the EC and pH of the runoff before planting, then follow your crop’s nutrient program.
  5. Fill pots, seed trays, or hydroponic systems, or blend it with other substrates.

Low EC Cocopeat FAQ

What does Low EC mean?

EC (Electrical Conductivity) measures the salt level in cocopeat. High salt levels can stress young roots, which is why low-EC material is preferred for seedlings and sensitive crops.

Should I choose Low EC or High EC cocopeat?

Choose Low EC when you need a low-salt medium for seed propagation and sensitive crops. Choose High EC if your application tolerates higher salt levels or you plan to wash and buffer the material yourself. You can compare specifications on our High EC Cocopeat Block page.

Why choose cocopeat blocks over loose cocopeat?

Compressed blocks take up far less space in storage and transport, then expand into loose growing medium once hydrated.
